Journal entry for a September Saturday

I figure I should try to log an entry in this thing at least every couple of days, even when I don't have anything profound to talk about, so this one's gonna be just kind of a "dear diary" thing, about nothing in particular, but words nonetheless. It actually feels like the status reports I have to do for work every week. I actually have a text file that i update daily saying "worked on this and that", so i'll remember what i actually did that week. When i forget to do that, my status reports are usually about 4 lines long. When I keep the file updated, my status reports tend to be about two pages long, and read like "saved the site from the jaws of complete meltdown four times today... ate lunch... rebooted interwoven, got paged at 1am by the gameday stringers."

This strategy needs some refinement, though, since it seems i never have more than about two minutes free in a row to write something interesting. Maybe I'll make a "blurbs" or "burps" category just for stuff like "cool link -->" posts and quick thoughts. That way, at least the calendar on my page can appear to have lots of days with posts, even if they're small.
