Technically, I *am* root for the home team. Weird, huh?
(I need a new pun here, huh...)

Shut up.

This is a limited-audience post. please read this and it's comments if you wanna know what i'm talking about.

full disclosure: i originally ranted in the initial forum (sassy.net blog comments), but realized that that certainly wasn't the place for it, (and that that was my point), and so i revised my post. I can do that, since the blogging system and the server it runs upon happen to belong to me. Most people can't undo what they've written, but i did, in order to move my post to this forum (mine).

that said:
--------
um... who shit in whose wheaties this morning?

post (paraphrased): "i'm sad today, 'cause i saw a lot of people die last year."

comment(s): six point freakout including "4. YES, Enron was involved. Our "free press" just isn't talking about it; their behavior is a disgrace"

Dude, until Beth opens the door with "yay, Ken Lay! Kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out!", somebody's blog comments aren't the place for your manifesto.

if you don't wanna start your own blog, (or write a book, or print a 'zine, or whatever) then shut up. really. Civilized people (even socially enlightened ones) simply shouldn't go out of their way to fart loudly at their friends' parties. (I am, of course, speaking metaphorically. I suppose it's a good rule to follow literally, too.)

please note that I posted this on *my* blog, in my own forum, about something i decided to write about, and not in the comments of someone else's forum, after changing the original point.

also note that, since it's my own forum, i've opted to not solicit anyone else's comments on this post, since that's my prerogative, and because i really don't care what anyone else thinks about this particular point. If you care, then by all means, please, write about it.

Someplace else.
