The proper attitude.

Minutes after pitching the quickest nine-inning game in the majors since 1984 (in one hour, 41 minutes), Detroit's Jose Lima went out to the stands and did this: (quoting from mlb.com)

He signed baseballs, hats, gloves, tickets, bobblehead dolls, shirt sleeves, reporter notebooks -- anything pushed in front of him, he signed. He took pictures holding babies and little kids, supported in part by the same arm that threw 78 pitches. Instead of meeting with the media, the media wandered onto the field to meet him.

I'd suggest that somebody should lock this guy in a room with Donald Fehr and not let them out until somebody changes his attitude, but I'd hate to risk losing Jose to the dark side of The Force (like Barry "the fans'll come back if we strike" Bonds).
