google rocks

(inspiration for this entry from bitwaste.com)
Google's getting smarter.

Not only can you type in a phone number and many times get the reverse-lookup (try your own, or 319-365-1111) .... but you can then click on a map from that link...

...or just type in an address, or just a zip code... instant map (try 50273)

now they've got a calculator. Try "54.3 * 6"

Try "seven minus three" or "sqrt(pi)*sin(23) plus five"

For god's sake, try "0xFF2EB / 0b01001"...

(this is actually really handy for me sometimes, as a binary/decimal calculator... it apparently uses the first base-notation you use for the answer, so " 1 * 0b0110110101011 " spits out the correct 3499 )

how cool is that?

We actually got really bizarre with the thing at work the other day: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&c2coff=1&q=mass+of+the+sun+in+troy+ounces

Google fucking rocks.
