Met Emiliano for brunch at the Life cafe (awesome... must go there more often), then walked through Tompkins square park, and up to Union Square where I got some books at B&N and some pet supplies at Petco, then wandered through that park. Finally came to rest at Cosi near the Virgin MegaTheatre, where I sipped blended caffiene and read Unix. ahhh....
Low-End Digital Photography's biggest shortcoming is that you can't take an indoor picture without a flash, and you can't take a good flash picture of your cat, who's always indoors. Whenever the kitties are being super-extra cute, I try to take their picture, and the flash makes them either go all Evil-Eye on me, or make them squinty and look all pissed-off, or both. I hope the new camera I have on order (purchased specifically 'cause I want something with better zoom for outdoors stuff) will also let me take slow indoor pics without a flash.
They stripped off the walls in my apartment building's hallways, exposing the exposed brick... they finally are now getting around to painting the doors and railings green, and poly-sealing the brick... it looks muuuuch better than it did when I moved in, around 7 years ago.
