i just got a new digital camera, the sony dsc-f717 ... it's really cool.

it takes amazingly high-resolution pictures with 5x optical zoom (which i won't show here, 'cause they're huge, and take forever to download) Here's some smaller examples, though, to show the depth-of-field, which is soooo much better than on my little pocket camera (which i still love, 'cause it's so handy.)

it also has a bunch of semi-useful features... it'll take MPEG movies, but it can also make animated gifs, if you'd prefer....
