So, a million things have happened recently, including Maggie's moving to Seattle, Beth's birthday gathering, at which i saw lots of people i don't get to see often enough, and big bluegrass action at 9C, the bar...
however, the biggest news is:
KITTIES!!!!
there was a posting on newyork.craigslist.com from a nice woman named Jill, who's got two adorable-sounding 3-year old cats, a brother and a sister, who are very close to becoming my kitties! Her fiance' is severely allergic, so she has to give them up.
I've pledged to her to keep frequent updates of their progress posted online, which I was going to do if for no other reason than that's the kind of dorky online stuff I do, but also because Maggie demands frequent cat updates, and my mom wants to see them as well. Jill (the cats' current person) is also welcome to cat-sit or cat-visit whenever, as well. I'll be going to Seattle frequently, but I'm committed to having east village friends (i have several) or professionals keep these cats well-petted during any absence.
