This is pretty much a redux of my FotoLog entry for today...

Maggie got the job at Amazon.com! She'll be leaving around the 12th for her new gig, but we'll be ok... pricing flights to Seattle, I figure managing to see each other every other weekend should be affordable, both in terms of money and work schedule... the last time I tried a long-distance relationship, I was making about $9500 a year, and I had no long-distance telephone carrier. This time, I think I'm a little better prepared. Plus, work can hook me up with the Mariners and RealNetworks, each of which are in Seattle, so maybe I can beg an empty cubicle from them, and swing a long weekend in the rainy city.

In other news, I'm going to get at least one new cat on or about Maggie's birthday, on the 5th of January (also my dad's birthday, but he's more into raising vegetables than in felines) Maggie will thankfully not miss much of the new cat's (or cats') antics, since in addition to being mr. frequent flyer, I plan to lead the industry in pushing the envelope with regard to teleconferencing, video phones, and long-distance kitten telemetry.
