So, I work for Major League Baseball... I think most people reading this know that. We get these memos every week from Bob DuPuy, who I think is getting a bad rap in the press. I'll not comment about his participation in the labor negotiations, since I like my job, but I will say that he's a fun guy around the office, and at the Christmas party.
Anyway, the memos: they're these "Did you Know?" style memos, and they're pretty cool. The guy knows a lot about baseball.
This week's memo was about the Hall-of-Fame weekend, and the golf outing there this past week. Kudos were given to the winning two-man team, MLB's VP of Lawyering (not his actual title, but the jist.) and GAYLORD PERRY, Hall-of-Famer and unchallenged king of the spitball.
Jeez. A high-powered lawyer, and Gaylord Perry. Those guys'll get NO wiggle-room when the question of "didja cheat?" comes up.
Who's Gaylord Perry?
